Painting Autumn…

Do you like Autumn?… I remember the time when I had a couple of favourite seasons, but now.. now, when I am getting older I really like all of them…

I like early autumn for its warm sunny days and 1st fallen leaves.

It is absolutely perfect time for long distance walks (cause it’s not hot anymore), mountain hiking, picknics at botanical garden etc.

I also like the colours autumn brings... Different warm shades of green, yellows, orange, olive, sienna, ocher, venitian red, grey and so much more!

Autumn flowers are also great!

I like chrysanthemum and asters for their wonderful smell and bright optimistic colours…

In September I usually walk a lot. It makes me feel good…Go out for painting plein air sketches as well.

September is also time to pick some flowers/herbs and press-dry them. I use these press-dried flowers for creating florotypes during the winter.

Watching the sky in Autumn is also a pleasure.

On a windy day huge beautiful clouds highlighted by the sunset light - are quite spectacular …

Seasonal Autumn fruits - is another reason to love autumn. Of course now we can buy tangerines almost all year round. But seasonal local ones - are my favourite!
