Creating a series… - Ocean Shells Study

IMG_8902.jpg

Frankly speaking, I am really impressed by the beauty and harmony of natural forms and colours…

This time I was inspired by numerous oceanic shells I have observed…

Each of them is a real sea miracle, isn’t it?

I studied the perfect diverse forms of the shells and color shades’ combinations.

There were so different! - from very delicate neutral ones to hot pink and warm dark orange…

This huge neutral pink shell was the 1st one of the series.

I created it in impressionistic style - separate brush strokes are clearly visible, and minimalistic grey background highlights all the warm shades of this beautiful shell.

All these miscellaneous shells I have chosen for this series, symbolically remind me of all of us - so different, so fragile…and so unique.

This “Ocean Shell Study 2” - is available in its original size at my website shop here.

I accept commissions for large scale shell paintings on unstretched canvas. They look like a great ‘focal point’ in the interior.

Please feel free to Contact me for custom order large scale painting like the one shown above.

This is one more painting of this series. I have named this series “Witnesses Of Time”…

As of today I have 6 oceanic shells paintings available.
