Sunny Days Between April Showers.. Apr 18 Written By Oxana Logvinova We have a really rainy Spring this year … So every sunny day is a chance to get out and paint outdoors.. I was born in Spring and this time of the year is kind of special for me. All these fruit trees in bloom and their tiny white petals in the air are so beautiful! This blooming last about +/- 14 days. Not that much if it rains 5 days a week:) This week I was lucky to get out to botanical garden several times and created 4 new sketches of trees in bloom. This day the weather was very changable. white clouds were turning grey. Sun was coming out and hiding again. But I ‘ve got one good sketch after all.. By the way - this is my color palette at the end. I used the following oil paints that time: Indigo, Violet grey, White, Cerulean Blue, Lemon and Cadmium Yellows, Madder Lake. I used to have a spare vintage wooden frame at home. I bought it once at the Flee Market. I think it looks great with this spring landscape…This painting is now available at my online shop - here. Another great place for one more sketch of beautiful trees in bloom. This time - it was a sunny day without teriffically beautiful spring clouds, but still a lot of colors and shades! I really enjoyed painting these blooming trees in a quiet corner of Botanical Garden that day. Here it is what I’ve got at the end. This sketch is also framed by now and available at my online shop . Have a look at this and other spring landscapes available now with 15% discount. More spring paintings/ works in process - to be shared in this painting Blog next week.See you!~ april-showers Oxana Logvinova
